Summer Savvy an East Asian Way

Summer heat and summer flurry are empowering and exciting.

If you burn too hot for too long, summer may be exhausting.

It is important to balance your activity with proper rest, hydration, nourishment and emotions.

Ancient Chinese Physicians have recommendations for these facets of life.

Optimal summer sleep patterns: Waken early, rest at midday and bed later.
Drink plenty of fluids. Water is best. (Half your weight in ounces)
Add pungent flavors to your diet and eat cooling and detoxifying foods.
Refrain from anger and irritability and keep calm and even tempered.
